Everything's working again

Everything appears to be working again after a couple of days of score-related turmoil. I recompiled stuff for Flash 7 player instead of Flash 6. That drops my potential playable browser-share from 99% to 98%, but I think I can bear that. That did bring up a couple of bugs, mainly related to ActionScript's variable names getting case-sensitive between versions 6 and 7 (i.e. they decided to follow the ECMA standard more closely).

Other than that, I now have friendly little high score table in XML. You can subscribe to it with any RSS software (including the ones built into Firefox and/or IE7). Every morning it'll update itself so you can check your scores. Also it's got links to today's game, so you'll have an opportunity to play the day's games.

Here's the big uber-table. If you just want a table for an individual game, go to the page of the game itself, and there's a link there.

And if you don't have an RSS reader of choice, check out Bloglines. One nice thing Bloglines has is a little Firefox/IE extension that puts an icon in the corner of your browser that lights up if one of your feeds gets updated. I love it.

Oh, and on a completely unrelated note, Yo Gabba Gabba is poised to be the next big TV show.

. . .at least if my daughter is any measure of potential ratings. I downloaded the trailer, and she watched it at least ten times in a row.

Yo Gabba Gabba is scary. Wonder how many kids are going to be wired for ADD after being brought up on that. :)
