It's late yet again, so this is going to be an entry written relatively quickly, so don't mind the bumps...

Ok, the new thing this week is a dialog system for in-game, so we can advance the story and maybe extricate a few laughs from players. It's basically like a lot of RPG's, presumably(I don't really play any). It's actually more directly inspired by Gundam Battle Assault 2, but that's little obscure.

Essentially, the characters talking get avatars, with the player's being on the left side. Text is displayed in the middle, IRC fashion, which will hopefully make the pure-text system make more sense to people.

I made a mock-up screen for Sir Sapo to give him a guide, and the real thing looks pretty much the same, although the font is different. Backround: I had a random screenshot in My Pictures folder, so that's why the actual text may or may not make much sense.

Here it is:

The big thing I worked on today was getting more helmets done(I will have to draw some faces for some characters, but profiles are relatively easy with practice).

Here is the player's:

Yeah, you're number one, baby.

Here is Colonel Meyran, your arch-nemesis':

Yeah, don't ask me how I did the visor. I don't remember exactly- It kinda gives you mixed feelings to look back at something you did and go "Wow! I'm awesome- ...but how the fuck did I do that?"
I think I got it figured out somewhat, I'll have to see tomorrow, as I am really tired(my head feels semi-detached ATM, oh and now deja vu... great)

As always, comment on my journal or... I will be sad.

Ok, goodnight!

As usual your killer artwork leaves my jaw swinging from its hinges. Attractive face-art always add a lot to what would otherwise be a boring pure-text dialog system. The arch-nemesis' helmet looks especially nice. [smile]

Simple, really - Just like trees, they just sit there and wait for skiers/pilots to crash into them.
