Lots more work on the Revel Editor, getting ready for our next release of Revel Immortal

As of now the full set of data has been transfered into the editor and no longer exists hard coded.

Hey, why is Revel taking so long to load? I was going to write up a review on it.

Polyfrag,

A review would be great, though we are still only in Alpha stage.

I too noticed it has been taking a while to load and am looking into it; here are a couple of thoughts...

1. we switched servers a few months ago, I'm wondering if we're experiencing some throttling as a result of heavier load.

2. in the case of a full graphics refresh, you'll experience 8.26 mb of graphics download

After the upfront load you should experience some decent cahcing in your browser.

Overall we're going to need to add a more informative loading screen; hopefully by the next release; which is slated for the 22nd.

I just ran a test, on my 34mbps broadband download it's taking around 6sec. to load from an uncached scenario.

Cached is 1.5sec.

So we may have been experiencing a lot of folks on, or a transient server speed issue.
