Netflix and Annoying Music

Signed up for Netflix a couple of weeks ago. Did it for two reasons. We're no longer 150 feet from a Blockbuster Video, and I wanna watch movies that Blockbuster doesn't have without buying 'em. Rented Mutant Aliens (Plympton at his most graphic, you've gotta be a fan), Triplets of Bellville (a bit weird for weird's sake in places, but rather fun), and May (recommended by pal Rick Carey, haven't watched it yet). Got Bubba Ho-Tep and 20 Million Miles To Earth in the queue, because Bruce Campbell and Ray Harryhausen are both gods.

Service has been fine so far, but that could just be fortuitous circumstances. The return address on the Netflix envelope is in Coppell Texas, about ten miles from here. Dunno how Netflix distribution centers work out, but I might just have the lucky location.

FWIW, Fatwallet.com forums have an ongoing discussion on keeping your Netflix costs low. Basically you cancel your membership, and it pops up a page offering you N-months of service at a discount price if you don't leave. People on the forum have been keeping that going for a while.

Oh, and if you happen to own the Queen's Greatest Hits CD, do NOT play 'Bicycle Race' in the car when your two year-old daughter is riding with you. If she's anything like my daughter, she'll immediately fall in love with the song and demand that you play it over and over.

If you don't remember the song, just accept that it's extremely stupid and it only gets sillier when played five times in a row. And if you DO remember the song, sing it with me now!
