Hi peops, what file format do you guys use to store your opengl models. What aspects do you think about creating such a file type. I will convert my models first from *.ase files new in 3D Studio Max R3 (ASCII format like XML). Then I want do store into my own format. Do your files make any descisions about using TRIANGLE_STRIPS, ~FANS or other optimized methods. Tanx for your help. Doin it 11111000. http://www.dragonwings.de

I convert them into a really cool Apple format called 3DMF, or 3D metafile...or the ASCII rendition of 3DMF anyways, then i just wrote my own parser to make my own model format. And i dont use Fans, but i copied something from the QD3D world called Tri-Meshes which are highly optimized.
