Hello Anyone know any good tutorials on about central pattern generators. I know they are a type of neural network which give out pulses. I specifically am looking for info on how to program such things. Cheers Richard

found something here http://www.bio.brandeis.edu/biomath/mike/network.html if anyone else is interested. Should be quite a good way of doing rhythmic motions such as walking

I remember reading something similar in John Holland''s book, "emergence". He refers to them as ''cyclic networks''. They are comprised from leaky integrators(the neurons) and they have several recurrent links. I don''t remember the specifics though.

I''d be interested to know if you turn up anything else in your search.

Will let you know what I find fup. I think what you describe sums them up but I want to find out a lot more.
Will post back results
