Can anyone point out websites/resources that would be good for learning how to program bots and the current issues and problems with creating bots? What kinds of ideas are out there at the moment that bots use effectively? I''ve tried google but cannot find many good sites for actually creating bots and the issues. Thanks in advance. www.abyssgames.gotdns.com

Well, I'd like to make bots for Raven Shield. It's a game that will be coming out in March that uses the Unreal Engine. It's a FPS tactical game.
BTW- fup I ordered your book, can't wait to read it.

There's not a vast amount out there specifically for FPS bots, but here's some stuff to get you started:

The Quake3 Arena Bot by van Waveren, J.M.P.

Anything by William van der Sterren is worth reading.

The bot navigation articles at the ai-depot and also the FEAR opensource project. There are also some threads in the forum there that may be of help.

Thanks. I hope you enjoy it
