Help choosing a book

Hi, I''m extremely interested in artificial intelligence and was hoping somebody here could point me in the direction of a good book for a relative beginner in this field. Some things I am looking for: preferably with some code/pseudocode and C++ is a plus. Nothing too abstract and nothing that extremely heavy with code or high-end math since I will be reading a lot of it away from a computer. Also, nothing that dwells too much on only games and game developing. Basically something thats a great read with theory but which I can turn around and implement right away while coding on the weekends.
