How about starting with the Articles & Resources section right here on GameDev ? I think there are a number of "intro" style articles that you could begin with.

Other sources:

http://www.gameai.com (also good links to intros)
http://www.ai-junkie.com (when you are ready for ANNs and GAs)
http://www.ai-depot.com (interesting tutorials and essays)

Then there is always learning to use google (www.google.com) and learn to search on specific topics. (Shouldn''t Learn to use Google be posted at the top of GameDev''s Forums page?)
