Welp, I discovered NeHe''s excellent site about about 8 hours ago, dusted off vc++ and started working thru the tutorials. Now I have created my own little program where a cube bounces around and a light rotates around the cube. OK, the problem: it all worked well from with-in the vc environment but the .exe in the folder that is created does not work as a stand alone. Message: Init failed. Am i missing some sort of GL file that should be in there or has vc not been set up correctly. Thanks for any input. I''m off to bed, its 3.30 in the morning and all I can see is spinning cubes. :-)

Did you copy .exe in the project folder?

To run .exe as a stand alone, you should either copy .exe into the project folder or copy any images/3dfiles into debug/release folder.
