First of all, I am a newbie here on this forum. So hello everyone (pretty quiet forum eh?). I downloaded Perl from the internet. And it didnt seem to come with any kind of documentation. Im trying to develop and test on a WinXP laptop. What do i need to do to get started? And what''s all this stuff about compiling Perl??? I have to compile Perl so I can use Perl?

Personal opinion: perl is an ugly mess of a language, if there''s no specific reason for choosing perl, I recommend to you python (and it even comes great docs, including a tutorial)
