Features For Mod Support

Im making a game, and i want to make it support mods in the future. From your experience, what are the minimum feature sets, that a game needs to support to be modable. Im thinking : -scripting -trigger system -? -ddn

-Some basic soure code
-A Game SDK
-Modification Resources
