Using custom textures in QERadiant

Hello, Quick question. I am trying to load custom textures I''ve made in QERadiant for use in a bsp level, for use in an OpenGL engine that''s in development at school. Problem is, no matter how I package the textures I''ve made, I can''t load them up. Am I missing something? For example, I throw a .jpg pic that is 128x128 into a winzip file, then change the extension to pk3. then in radiant I go to textures -> load directory -> (browse to the folder) and then nothing comes up. I''ve tried it without it being zipped, nothing. it''s kinda frustrating, are there any specific steps i''m missing? Hope someone can point me in the right direction Thanks Nexpert
