Greyscale Lighting ....

I have implemented lighting from Tutorial 7. When lighting is ''off'' my sky-dome appears nice and coloured but models appear as grey sillouettes. When lighting goes ''on'' the whole scene goes black and white (greyscale) but the models become shaded. I want full colour when lighting is on, any ideas?

Hi Ozz,

There could be a couple of things wrong... but it stuffs me what they could be
Make sure you have colour tracking enabled when you have lighting on (otherwise you will get the scene in ''greyscale'', like you said). If I recall correctly, you do this with glEnable(GL_COLOR_MATERIAL) .

It is strange that the models display opposite behaviour to the rest of the scene though.... arrrrg, my brain. Maybe there''s some funky problem with normals in your scene as well ??

Sorry if that wasn''t very helpful,
