How do you make graphic data smaller?

Hi I am putting some screen grabs up on my webpage but they are too big. Even when I convert them to JPG they are 0.5 meg each. Is there any way I can keep the same image dimensions but make the files smaller using Photoshop? P.S. I only have Photoshop 3.0. http://www.geocities.com/david_moffatt_au/ Edited by - Davaris on 9/17/00 8:20:48 PM

I can only suggest showing thumbnails and linking them to the real picture, or making your screen resolution smaller. There really aren''t many ways out there to make screenshots take up less space.
Photoshop should have an option where you can Save As...
a jpeg but you don''t save it with 100% information retention
but 20% to 50% data retention.

I''ve tried jpeg with maximum compression but I still get pics
that are 1/2 a meg. I wonder what the game companies do.
Their screen shots are smaller in size bu they don''t lose
their clarity.
