cross platform input

Ive been daydreaming about the next engine id like to write, and thought it would be really sexy to have it go cross platform, namely (windows, mac and maybeee linux). opengl seems like the best choice, as SDL after a quick glance seems to be a little to high level and over abstracted. but im wondering what other input libraries are avaiable to use, not including the one in SDL. and as for audio i think id go openAL. thanks for putting up with my rhetoric

Im using GLFW to handle window creation/input and other OS specific tasks. So far i have not seen the need to include <windows.h>.
