Hi, this isn't really asking any specific problem. Just wondering if anyone here as started to mod HL2 code yet? I've been working on it the past few weeks on and off and it seems pretty cool. I come from a Q3/EF modding team thats switching to HL2 now, and I thrilled with the freedom it lets you have now. (Q3 used QVM's with restricted what you could do for advanced feature and the Q3 engine was very limited in comparison). Anyway for anyone whos tried to code with it, what do you think of it, and what are you working on? My team and me are working on a total conversion mod so its pretty simple, but I hear the server plugins that let you modify cs:source or hl2dm are pretty bad right now with very limited features. If anyone is working on a hl2 mod and happens to stumble over this topic, heres a useful set of forums I found: HL2Coding.com Thanks for reading, hope to hear from someone lol. -J

Well I have just really started looking at the SDK,

I am doing a Masters in Games Development and for one of the modules I had to do a report on Directx, Middleware and Game Engines, and as part of that I have to create some applications to demonstrate an Engine or Middleware packages.

So I decided to pick Half Life 2, at the moment I am just fooling about with it just trying to learn it. But what I was thinking of doing is try to create a buggy race mod just for the fun of it, I don't know if its feasible but I'll try it anyway.
