Does anyone know where I can get the source code or tutorials on playing MP3s through Visual C++ 6?

Playing an mp3 THROUGH vc++ might be hard, writing an application that is able to play mp3's with msvc++ might be easier...
there's some support in DirectX...I think
also check out xaudio.com
but take a look at the licensing first...
It's about $0.5 per player you sell or something (and about $15000 per year minimum)....
