I am used to program small games and rotating 3d objects in pascal now i think about taking the step over to c++. I downloaded the devc++ 3.8 from their homepage and my first question is... is that compiler good.. or are there any more userfreindly compilers/languages (i cant afford Visual C++ 6).

Anyway, if you''re a student, you''d probably be able to get a discount on Visual C++. I think standard edition costs $30 at an academic discount.
