I'm wondering...
Does the "Indie Projects" (Awesomesauce) really need to be a global board? Couldn't it be a sub-board from your announcements perhaps?
I get the feeling that the dev journals are taking the bulk of the posts that would belong in that forums eitherway...
I may be wrong, obviously.
I think it should all be split out a bit better. I hate the awesomesauce name too, but that's just me.
My biggest personal use for Your Announcements would be to post new tutorial series, but it isn't really a good fit in that forum.
The ironic catch 22 is, the flood of KickStarter/IndieGoGo, etc... crowd funding, makes me stay the hell away from these kinds of forums in the first place. Which is the shame as I do love developer blogs, and those are the kinds of things I miss as a results. Personally I would like to see it more like 3 sub forums
