Journal views not updating or showing up and killing my ego

I don't know if this is just me or what but it seems sporadically journal view counts don't ever update.... most mine are stuck at 0 despite the fact I have up votes and comments on them? That and checking four entries back only my newest entry even shows up on the list of journals?

they work then they don't work, they work then they don't... I have no idea what keeps breaking the journal view counters
