Thanks for the references, Graelig. I'll keep a look out for 3D modelling books (though I can't afford many of them at the moment, haha). Maya/Zbrush tutorials seem to appear more frequently on YouTube, but I guess the same concepts would apply across the board in every software. ![:) smile.png](http://public.gamedev5.net//public/style_emoticons/default/smile.png)
then its just a case of practice makes perfect.
Yes, I agree. ![:D biggrin.png](http://public.gamedev5.net//public/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.png)
Do you have any examples of 3d models you've already done?
I do. I grabbed a few screenshots from my flash drive:
This screenshot is from my prototype 2d (yes, 2d) space shooter game, Space Project: Quagmire. I rendered and composed spritesheets from 3D models created in Blender.

This render is from my attempt to make food in Blender.
Of course, I had to make onigiri.

This render isn't my first character in Blender, but it's the best one I've done so far. I followed a tutorial from my brother's Blender book.

And this render is from my first water simulation that includes a collision object.

Wow! Thanks a bunch.
I'm going to spend a good bit of time watching this.
