Can't update about me page on mobile

Whenever I try and update my about me page in my profile I get an error:

Role: Cannot be blank

What is role, and why don't I have such a field to fill?

Confused...

I found the option. It was hidden underneath the popup where I was editing, on the page below as a set of checkboxes o_O
