Do you own the assets shown in the video? Or were they extracted from the existing game? You're not very clear and if you don't own them, you will be sued into oblivion most likely. Just a friendly heads up.

btw old developer closed company at 2011 and many game shutdown before and work again by this way

and i mean by 70% , i mean things that done at server side like

create character

level up

kill monster , get exp and get item drop

buy and sell item

do quests

learn skills

move and teleport

you can check silkroad online , jade dynsty , perfect world , aion , and conquer ...................etc all this games still publish by they creators and have many private server run by normal people

you can check from http://www.xtremetop100.com/

Just because something is done by a lot of people doesn't make it legitimate.

However, seeing as the game is dead and likely to be never used by its copyright owner, it might not be such a bad thing for someone to try to revive it considering they're willing to write their own server which is a heck load of work.

The copyright to the original game is still owned by someone, even if the original developer took the game down or went out of business, the copyright would have been transferred to someone else.

We do not allow projects that infringe other people's copyright here. This is partially to protect the original copyright holder, but also to protect the members of our community.

Firstly, no-one wants to invest significant time in a project like this only to find themselves at the wrong end of a "cease and desist" order, preventing them from releasing their work to the world. Thus we encourage our members not to participate in such projects to protect them from wasting their time, not to mention the threat of legal action being taken against them.

The other part of that protection is that we hope someday that our members will be proud holders of their own copyrighted works. If you had spent a lot of time and money working on releasing a new idea to the world, you would want to have some control over how that vision is presented to the world and also the ability to ensure that you can reap the rewards, not other people who take the world, characters and story you've spent so long creating and just copying it. We're protecting future you from this by enforcing this policy.

As such, I'm locking this thread.
