any recommendations for how to learn JavaFX?

Experienced programmer here, but not experienced with games or graphics (except web interfaces), and pretty new to Java.  I've heard that JavaFX is a great library for graphics and GUI, but am having a hard time finding learning materials, especially for recent versions.  JavaFX is now OpenJFX 12 and there's little more than a "hello world" example on the website (https://openjfx.io).  Those of you who have used it, what can you recommend for training materials?  Books or videos?  Will older materials still be relevant?  What about community -- are there good forums or chat

oracle.com has a lot of good Java tutorials, there is also a corner for javafx. There wasn't much though, so I started reading the class and method documentation pretty soon instead to get further.
