Rarely, extremely rarely they are fun and educational

all games are educational, even a game like Starcraft. SciFi is as educational as history.

to trust nobody,

that`s not a bad thing, It`s all about the degree to which you trust/distrust(mistrust?). On the one hand trusting without reserves and/or everyone you meet/know is bad, on the other hand distrusting/being paranoic about some people (your spouse) is just as bad.

Kerbal Space Program tries to teach people something real.
But sci-fi rarely teaches something. It is all invented. Not educational.

In the end of the games, occasionally, some games try to teach the player about morals. But moral is super uncertain.

Last Of Us ending taught is wrong morals for example. But in exchange, it was something real. Before agendas infected that franchise too…

science fiction has to have some grounding in real life. It`s just an alternative view on human evolution (scientific evolution ) . It highlights the problems/challenges the man kind will face. It`s impossible to predict exactly how the future will look, foretellers have to use the existing terminology/notions (terminology that is current to their time) to depict future realities.

It is a game of terms.

Sci-fi rarely is based even 10% on real science. It is like saying that movies about Hackers teach something about programming. Nothing real at all.

Maybe sci-fi can inspire you to study about physics and find out how boring human's space program is, compared to aliens in movies. Certain CEOs misinform more about space than teaching something. Because of certain CEOs, most of humans believe that walking on Mars is the same like walking your dog in the backyard. Nothing was learnt, only harmful misinformation with the sole purpose of making money.

no they don`t teach programming, at the time they were made most people had little interest in programming (or hardly knew what programming is). the purpose was to depict programming as a new reality (without boring details) and how it will shift society. You can`t compress 4 years of CS into 1 hour the movies also have a plot/story there is no place for real life stuff.

Movies about hacking are dangerous. If a kid watches a movie about hackers, could believe it is easy-peasy and google for toolkits, and download lot of infected software that allows it to “hack” with one click and having not idea about networking. But at the same time, the poor kid is being hacked and used by the creators of these toolkits.

Everybody who considers hacking should first learn about networking and this will make him understand how far from reality movies about hackers are. And how dangerous for a kid is to try "hacking" without the needed knowledge.

A movie about hacking is dangerous because it can give a kid problems. Gov owns the cables and gov sees it absolutely all. Kids should forget about hacking.

that is fiction. If a kid caught inspiration from a movie - good job for movie makers. But that`s about it. Real life is in a different order of magnitude.
