REQUEST FOR IDEAS: Virtual Graduation Ceremony for High Schools / Colleges using Game Engine

I work for a school district in Houston, Texas. We have 12 high schools. I'm not a game developer.

I'm exploring the ideas of whether a “game” could be created quickly that would allow a virtual graduation ceremony to be held for each school.

My early thoughts are:

  1. player/graduate would log in to specific school “game” to load cap/gown colors and school logos
  2. player/graduate would choose appropriate avatar (male/female/hair color, etc.)
  3. player/graduate would upload photo for mapping face to avatar

game play would be automatic - very little player interaction:

  1. avatars would walk across stage and receive diploma from principal
  2. principal and others could pre-load videos of graduation speeches to be shown on virtual LED screen in virtual auditorium
  3. system would put graduates in alphabetical order for walking across stage
  4. system would “read/announce" graduate names

I don't know if this is achievable… certainly in the time frame of 6 to 8 weeks of development time….but I thought I'd put the idea out there and see if anyone has thoughts on the matter.
