Hello All, I am new in this community and I want to build my career as a game developer and looking for a unity course, Can any game developer suggest me where I can start learning unity game development?

I have personally looked at both courses provided by Unity through their “Learn” system, and different courses on Udemy.

Sure, they cost a little bit, but if you're serious about learning it's absolutely worth it.

I would probably recommend paying for a subscription at Unity, because you will get access to tons of different learning courses, tutorials, etc.

If you want one course to sort of take you through everything from start to finish, I have seen several good ones on Udemy.
For example:

https://www.udemy.com/course/unityrpg/learn/lecture/13764476

Total noob here, so take my comment for what it’s worth, but Coursera has a nice specialization by Michigan state university. It's free if you sign up to just audit the single courses.

Actually, the courses are not free.
You get a free 7-day trial when you enroll.

I've taken a course at Coursera, and they're actually good, but I get annoyed by misleading things like “Enroll for free” when they actually mean “Enroll for a free trial period of 7 days".

Hi Andy,

The specializations are not for free, but the single courses can be audited for free. Basically you can access the full specialization but the capstone project. This one, for example, is the first course of the Game Design and Development specialization: https://www.coursera.org/learn/game-development

When trying to enroll, select “Audit only” and you'll be able to access all the material but the graded exercise and the certificate. Not sure if this applies for all the courses on the platform, but it sure does for the one i linked.

Cheers!

You should be aware that the standard HR filter is a bachelors degree, either in a programming field or an art field.

The course on using a tool can help you, but by itself won't do much for a career.

Ah, thanks for clarifying, @roastedpinenut ! ?

Check out humblebundle.com for cheap bundle offers on programming resources among other things.

They have had bundles for udemy, coursera, zenva, that may be what you are looking for, just have to check regularily and wait for the right bundle.

They have also has unity.com resource packs as well.

I have purchased many Unity related bundles over the years.
