Understandable, however, I wish no ill-will towards the school. I am involved in clubs, I'm on the Orlando campus, and I'll help any student that needs help here. I simply wanted them to be aware of this because it is very serious regardless of the reason. If you're coming to Full Sail wanting to make game studios drop their jaw looking at your degree, it's the wrong place.

Also, I've never used gamedev.net before. I was simply looking for answers myself because of the vague email and stumbled upon this.
I hope OP did all the necessary research because they seem ready to jump in.

Regardless of what the OP decides, here is another way of looking at it.

Say you had a day job and had to fund your own education.

Would you spend 88K of your own money to pursue this or any other degree?

88k is a lot of money, carefully think about this.

I would suggest you actually stick with your CS degree and volunteer to any of the game projects being thrown around here to get the best of both worlds.

Full Sail is a terrible school from every person I know that went there. Some of my bosses, fellow programmers, 3d artist went there. Every degree sounds like a POS, from what I hear. That's like every ‘game degree’ college though. Even Kennesaw, GA has some random college with a game degree. People spending 4 years of tuition to not even know what an array is. Pisses me off how big a rip off these colleges are. Pure Scam.

The closest video game company, Electronic arts 10 miles away, at one point in time stopped interviewing graduates from Full Sail because they all interviewed horribly. Not sure that is still the case and I know some people that graduated full sail like 20 years ago and still work at EA but I'd suggest finishing whatever degree you have and then look at a masters at Digipen or something. I think Univ of Utah is pretty good, maybe a masters there.

If you are near Orlando just pay me like $1,000 bucks and I'll make you smarter than anyone that came out of Full Sail.

Of course, it makes sense to improve in this field, but the real practice you'll get only at work.
