I have a series of bitmaps which need to have their background colour altered from black to green. When I try to alter the background using PSP''s flood fill control I find the program takes a scorched earth approach and turns all the dark shades to green. How can I make PSP more sensitive to different shades of black?

In the controls palette (view, toolbars, control palette), you can change the tolerance of the flood fill. 0 and it will fill in only the pixels that match the RGB (or hue, or brightness, depending on the setting) of the pixel you click on. 100 will probably fill in everything.
