I took an intro class in learning to use Maya, but I still have trouble modeling certain things, like characters. I want to learn how to make cartoonish 3D models using Maya, but I have trouble doing so. I know how to use most of the tools in Maya, but I''m still learning. The only textbook I have on Maya is Alias|Wavefront''s "Learning Maya". Are there any good books out there that shows you how to use the tools in Maya 4.0 in order to make seemless joints and decent-looking faces? ~Robert

I dont know if there is a ''4.0'' version but the book ''Mastering Maya 3'' is a really good book.
Is not a reference but hands-on instead.

It received many good reviews.

Check that book out on Amazon or B&N.
