To be an Animator/Modeler for a game company, do you need to be able to draw REALLY good or no? I thought the Art Directors gave the drawings to the Animators/Modelers and they used certain programs to draw them into the computer. Can someone explain this to me please? Thanks. Masterconjurer

i can barely draw, but i can model very well...
why? you can manipulate vertex positions individually..
being able to draw is a huge advantage in the modeling
world though, since not many modelers are very good at
drawing.

Thanks for the reply! I was interested in 3D Modeling/Animation but I didn''t know if you had to be good at drawing to do it or not. I guess I could work on drawing skills and modeling. I''m downloading gMax right now as I type. I have Maya 3D but it needs Windows NT 4+ to install and I am still running Windows 98.
