I know someone who was making (or claimed to be making) $100k+ straight out of university, with a bachelors, by working for a large tech company

Of cource. It is huge lack of educated programmers for tech/industry, so big companies taking a most skilled students aboard as earlier as it ever possible. So have a warm place in company its bachelour have a good chance to become a Master or Ph.D much smoothly,  by the way getting in and then researching field of companys tasks, that for  some products can take a couple years to get in enought to accomplish actual work

Still, everything I have heard indicates that the finance and medical industries pay substantially better than the game industry.

. And game industry, as most of web-dev companies,  unable to competite with real-word industry companies, so forced to hire about anybody who know 10 operators syntacsis. It why non-educated developers so crazzy about involving educated developers to gamedev - thay really afraid that educated  developers able to turn human-years of his work to machine-seconds and swipe them out from industry by its way. Same for web-devers.

Really difference betwin "skilled and good expirienced guy" and well-educated engineer that first able "to work hard" while second able to make some black magic that as result force computer to make 99% of his work.

Hollow objects can be modeled without com offset, and if you want to model the mass distribution so precisely, you likely use multiple bodies anyways, e.g. a heavy body for the engine. (I neither know if this works good enough nor if those engines provide out of the box vehicles.)

Ok. For example you modelling a battle tank hull. It have a only collider that ever may exactly match a collision mesh. But it empty inside, and can have a big difference in plates thickness,  so have a mass distribution and center of masses other than  engine calculates from collision mesh. Main problem of most advercited engine - it collide a colliders, not a bodies, while for proper response colliders have to be used for detect collision but response have to be calculated from bodies properties. But also #1 problem of the realistic collision reaponse that is phisical theory of strike have no idea how to obtain a accurate bumpy factor, that depends  not from matherials of collided bodies only, but also from bodies shape and collision speed.

@Fulcrum.013 You really don't have that voice in the back of your head that tells you when enough is enough do you?  When a moderator AND an administrator both tell you to stop, you just keep on pushing it.  No sense a ban might be in your near future?  Most people have those spider senses but apparently with your amazing degree you didn't do well in that course ?  That or you are one amazing troll just out to get this thread closed.  Either way, enjoy!

Yep. That's enough. Stop trolling threads, please, Fulcrum.

As a last note: As well as technical skills and degrees, interpersonal skills are also a key to employment. Failing to realise that you are being obnoxious can be quite damaging to your career.
